Problem Statement

In Switzerland, the well-being of young individuals is a critical concern, with recent studies indicating that over 30% of Swiss youth experience high levels of stress and anxiety. These challenges not only affect their emotional health but also impact their overall development and family dynamics. The modern digital age and remote work culture have exacerbated feelings of loneliness and isolation, making it even harder for young people to develop healthy coping mechanisms and social skills. Parents often feel ill-equipped to address these issues, lacking the necessary resources and support. This underscores the urgent need for a comprehensive solution that empowers parents and guardians to support their children’s health and well-being in a holistic manner, focusing on the importance of friendships and community support.

Award Announcement

We are pleased to announce that SWIX has been awarded the first check as part of the Innovation Booster Co-Designing Human Services initiative. This grant will support the research and development of our Family Well-being Initiative: Empowering Parents for Youth Success, which aims to provide parents with the tools and resources they need to foster their children’s emotional and social well-being effectively. This project will address these critical issues by offering practical, engaging, and evidence-based support to families across Switzerland, emphasizing the importance of strong friendships and community service as key components of mental health and resilience.
